About this directory
What this is
Pickleball Court Guide is an independent directory covering 113 pickleball court businesses across the Klang Valley, built for players trying to figure out where to book a court, which venues are worth the drive, and how one facility actually stacks up against another nearby. Whether you’re after indoor air-conditioned courts in Petaling Jaya, a casual drop-in session in Klang, or somewhere new in Shah Alam, the goal is to give you a clear, evidence-based starting point instead of a list of ads.
We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched with a court or coaching program, we pass your enquiry to a provider relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for that introduction. The quote page spells this out in full. That arrangement is separate from how we score and rank listings, and it never touches the rankings themselves.
Where the listings come from
Each listing is built from public business information (things like location, court count, surface type, hours, and contact details) combined with a synthesis of recent Google review sentiment. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarise the patterns across recent feedback and link out to the actual Google listing so you can read reviews at the source.
Businesses can request corrections to their own factual details (a wrong phone number, a closed location, updated opening hours) and we’ll update them after checking. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. Those come from data, not from the business itself.
How rankings work
Every ranking is earned from a published rubric applied consistently to the data we collect, covered in full on our methodology page. No listing can pay to move up, and no business can buy a better score. When a listing is marked “Sponsored,” it’s clearly labelled and displayed separately from the earned ranking. Sponsorship buys visibility, never rank.
Editorial oversight sits with Sarah, Editor, who maintains the scoring rubric and reviews how it’s applied across listings. Data behind the directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
Who publishes this
Pickleball Court Guide is published by Waypoint Local Guides, founded in 2025. Waypoint runs independent city directories for everyday local services across Malaysia, starting with pickleball courts in the Klang Valley, using the same published, review-based scoring approach and the same rule: rankings aren’t for sale, and sponsored placements are always labelled separately. You can find out more at waypoint.my, or reach the publisher directly at hello@waypoint.my.

FAQ
- Can a business pay to improve its ranking?
- No. Rankings come from a published rubric applied to public data and review sentiment. Sponsorship is labelled separately and never changes a score or position.
- Do you publish the text of Google reviews?
- No. We synthesise sentiment patterns from recent reviews and link out to the business's Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.
- Can a listed business edit its own information?
- A business can ask us to correct factual details like hours or contact information. It cannot edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
- What happens when I ask to be matched with a provider?
- We pass your enquiry to a provider relevant to your request and may earn a referral fee. This is disclosed on the quote page and has no bearing on how listings are ranked.
- How often is the data updated?
- The full directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see it's being actively maintained.
